Data Standards and Processing - GBIF Data Interpretation (part 2)

In this video, presenters explain the different data validation tasks they do when uploading data to GBIF. They explain how some fields will be normalized using a standard vocabulary and which will be populated with data based on your submitted data, for example, the continent from the coordinates fields. For fields that can't be normalized, there will be flags created. Flags will be present for inferred values from your dataset. They go through examples of fields where they do normalization and inference.
